Young Vinnies


Young Vinnies at Kingsgrove is the youth branch of St. Vincent de Paul society and has been running since 1994. Our aim is to make a difference in the lives of disadvantaged people here in Sydney. We are involved in the following activities:

Night Patrol - distribute food and drinks to people who are homeless

Friends of people with disabilities (FPD) - social activities with people who have physical or intellectual disabilities

Villawood Visitations - visiting refugees in Villawood Immigration Detention Centre

Migrant Task Force - visiting ex-refugees at their homes

Buddies Days - fun activities with disadvantaged children

Clothing Drives - collecting donations of clothing to be sold in St. Vincent de Paul stores

Fundraising - raising funds to support our activities

Green Team - Assisting the elderly and infirm with their gardening.

Twinning - we have a twin conference in Kerala, India.

Sydney Youth Team – we get together with other Young Vinnies groups across Sydney to discuss ideas and solve problems.

Vinnies Meeting

We meet once every month to review the past month's activities and organise volunteers for the one ahead. Meetings are held on the second Monday night of the month and starts at 7:30pm in the Clune Centre.
